Keyser became interested in environmental furniture, early aircraft construction and wooden boatbuilding techniques. He incorporated lamination, steam bending, veneering on Styrofoam, vacuum forming plywood and lapstrake boatbuilding construction into his furniture and sculpture. He began collaborating with architects to execute sculpture and complete church ensembles.
